Therapy Background:

Gord Russell started learning Reflexology from his father at the age of 6. He continued to learn Reflexology, massage and bodywork from him and Gord's brother-in-law, Doug Layden, and half brother Wilson Halbert, until graduating from high school.

Earning his Massage and Physiotherapy in 1976, Gord worked with Douglas Layden in Red Deer, Alberta, then went on to work with the then President of the Physiotherapists and Masseurs Association of Alberta, Mel Cowie for a few years. He studied with British Osteopaths from the school he originally studied with in England, The Northern Institute of Massage learning advanced massage and spinal manipulation.

Since then, Gord has had his own practice, developing his own techniques and taking several other seminars and classes in different disciplines including Acupunture, Shiatsu and Myofascial Release.

Gord now works at Ganfield Therapeutics in Gurnee, IL with one of John Barnes' (the founder of Myofascial Release) senior instructors, Lisa Ganfield.

He lives in McHenry, IL.
